The Earth Stewardship for Young People series is scheduled to run every Friday morning for the summer at Pictograph Cave State Park. The program, for children ages 7 through 10, starts June 11 and runs for 11 Fridays, ending Aug. 20. Each session runs from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Earth Stewardship focuses on eleven different subjects, one each week. Children may participate in any or all of the sessions. Because space is limited to 15 children, parents must pre-register by calling the park at 254-7342. A $2 donation is requested for each weekly program to cover the cost of materials and snacks. The series helps students develop a relationship with the earth through storytelling and nature-based activities.
