Youth Program

Each summer, from the first week of June through the last week of July, Makoshika State Park offers a Youth Program for children 7-13 years old. The programs, held each Thursday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am, provide natural science and educational activities in outdoor and indoor settings. Children that participate in at least half of the summer's programs are eligible to attend a camp out on the first Wednesday and Thursday of August at the Lions Camp in the park. Admission is free.
