Photographers Formulary Workshops in Montana


Photographer's Formulary Inc. offers photographers formulary workshops in Montana. We offer instructions from all over the US and Canada to instruct and to keep alive the old processes of photography called alternative processes. These include but are not limited to cyanotype, Van Dyke, gum printing, platinum, palladium, carbon, carbro and albumen. We also have regular darkroom classes included. These courses are from Sunday evening dinner until 12:00 the following Friday. The facility sits on 26 acres in a beautiful area of the Swan Valley. The workshop building host a large 'gang' darkroom and two class rooms with a large instruction area. We provide all meals from our kitchen. We offer camping on a limited basis which includes showers or bed and breakfast accommodations at Standing Stones Bed & Breakfast.

The workshop facilities are on 26 acres in the heart of the Mission Mountains and Swan Range which include the Bob Marshall Wilderness. We are in a small town called Condon 26 miles north of Seeley Lake at mile marker 44.5. You will see our name on a banner to the left of the highway by 4 large red rocks.
